We all know that group of boys that stay up until all hours of the night playing fortnite or call of duty, or just video games in general. Ever wonder what it could be doing to their brain? One might think that this is doing no good for ones brain, but recent studies show that it could be helping you after all.
I don’t know about you guys, but when I hear about call of duty and all of these violent shooting and killing games, all I can think about is all the evidence that leads to mass shootings or school shootings. But has anyone ever studied the other side to these games?

The video games that are often viewed as violent also teach children some things that can be useful in everyday life. They teach longer and more intent attention spans, and even in some cases, social skills.
Many video games also encourage children to socialize. These games often have microphones that allow them to talk to others that are playing the game all over the world which allows them to connect with people that they may not have ever connected with, without this video game.

Although research has been done that clearly shows video games do seem to be having a positive effect on the minds of young adults and children, parents should still be aware of the negatives that also come with this. If parents let their children sit on video games all day and night this could lead to obesity. Get your children off the games 24/7 and get them into some sports!
