In this module we have been asked to explore the photo editing world, and become more familiar with editing photos. We were asked to take an online photo editing course on the basics of photography, and I never knew how much is behind editing photos. I found it really cool how anyone can take great pictures with just normal cameras, some you wouldn’t even be able to tell the were taken on an iPhone.
This photo is an example of what simple photo editing can do to a picture, with not a lot of work involved. As you can see the before picture is just an ordinary picture that anyone would take on a walk, and the after picture looks like it was professionally taken, with just some simple editing.
While taking pictures I typically don’t think about the perfect angle, or contrast, or light exposure, I just go for it. After taking the online course about editing I now pay more attention to those types of things, and often times, I cant take pictures without editing them after anymore. Taking pictures from different angles, or focusing on something, like in this picture, the sunset rather than the puppy, it often gives the person viewing the picture many points to look at.
After reading some articles, watching some videos, and taking some classes, I am now more comfortable with photo editing and I learned how easy is to tell the person viewing the photo through the photo, and without words.
